Hey friends, Happy Thursday! Let the weekend begin!

We squeezed in a classic Sunday Funday last week and took ourselves on a little Belmar crawl. It kicked off at Klein’s Fish Market for their half-price sushi (dangerous in the best way), then moved on to 10th Ave Burrito for a cold beer. From there, we popped into The Anchor Tavern for a quick appetizer before wrapping things up at Beach Haus Brewery — because no good Sunday ends without one last stop.

They’re calling for a whole lot of snow ❄️this weekend, so we’re hoping everyone is stocked up on their favorite comfort foods and libations 🍷🍲. Whether you’re planning to hunker down at home, shovel in shifts, or sneak in a snow-day cocktail by the fire, stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy a cozy winter weekend at the Shore.

If you’re brave enough to leave your house, click here for our full listing of this weekends events, but be sure to check-out each venues website for any cancellations due to the weather.

Personally, we will be hunkering down at home, but not before stopping to pick up some fresh food from Uncle Giuseppe’s and picking up the ingredients so we can make a boozy hot chocolate to keep us warm. Let us know what your go to snow day plans are!

Kahlua Hot Cocoa Ingredients:

  • Combine milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, instant coffee granules, and sugar in a saucepan on the stove. Bring ingredients to a simmer.

  • Stir well to combine.

  • Pour hot cocoa mixture into a mason jar or a mug of your choice.

  • Add Kahlua.

  • Garnish with mini marshmallows and drizzle chocolate sauce and caramel sauce top of the mini marshmallows.

  • Serve immediately, enjoy!
