🇺🇸 MEMORIAL DAY PARADES + CEREMONIES

Saturday to Monday - Bradley Beach is kicking off the holiday with the Bradley Beach Memorial Day Parade and Festival. Most of the events will be taking place on Ocean Ave starting with the parade at 10am on Saturday. There will be Food Trucks and Vendors each day of the event.

Saturday - Point Pleasant Beach is hosting their annual Point Pleasant Beach Memorial Day Bike Parade which will be traversing on Arnold Avenue, from Lincoln Avenue to the Silver Lake Lot at 10am. Residents are urged to join in by decorating bicycles, strollers, and wagons in red, white and blue for the parade on Arnold Avenue.

Monday - Manasquan VFW Post 1838 will be hosting the annual Manasquan Memorial Day Parade. The parade is set to begin in front of the High School at 10:30am with the concluding ceremony taking place in the Plaza at 11:00am.

Monday - The Belmar Memorial Day Service will be held from 9am to 12pm. The ceremony takes place on Memorial Field in front of Monument Row on 12th and Main Street. The Belmar Historical Society will be hosting a gathering afterwords at Borough Hall courtroom.

Monday - Every year the community of Red Bank comes together to commemorate our fallen heroes at the Red Bank Memorial Day Service at 11am. They encourage the community to participate and/or place a wreath at the Veterans' Monument.

Monday - The Brick Township Memorial Day Parade and Service are part of a nearly 160-year tradition that pays tribute to military personnel who lost their lives in service to their country. The parade takes place on Chambers Bridge Road and begins at 10am. The parade concludes with a service at the municipal building to honor our military dead.

Monday - The Farmingdale 51st Annual Memorial Day Parade kicks off at 1pm. Starting at 11am, there will be a Main Street Market featuring artisan vendors. There will also be a Veteran Memorial ceremony at 11:30 being held at Farmingdale‘s War Memorial at Lutz Park hosted by VFW Post 9691 American Legion Post 178 🇺🇸 

Monday - The Middletown Memorial Day Parade begins at 10:00am at Bayshore Middle School and follows a route as difficult as MapQuest instructions. You can find the full route in the link. The parade will conclude at American Legion Post 338. Dignitaries will speak at the Post, and then hot dogs and beverages will be served. Prior to the parade, there will be a service at the World War II Memorial (900 Leonardville Road) at 9:00am.

🌸 FAIRS & MARKETS

Friday - And every Friday of the Summer, Pier Village Hosts the High Tide Makers + Artisan Market from 11am-6pm. The open – air Market offering unique creations from local makers and artisans on the Carousel Promenade.

Saturday to Monday - This is a personal favorite of mine. Monmouth Race Track is hosting the Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival from 11am-5pm each day. You’ll get to enjoy delicious fare from over 30 of the Jersey Shore’s best food trucks and live music. The best part of it all, you’re already at the race track to a enjoy a day of races as well.

Saturday - The Women’s Club of Manasquan is hosting their Women’s Club Craft and Flea Market in Squan Plaza from 9am-3pm. There will be multiple vendors showcasing their craft and vintage goods all morning.

Saturday - Allaire State Park is hosting a Vintage & Antique Show from 8am to 2pm. Kick off the holiday weekend with Antiques, Vintage Treasures, the Allaire Bakery, and Food Trucks.

Saturday - On the Keyport Waterfront, Kick off Memorial Day Weekend at the Aberdeen Music and Food Truck Festival at the picturesque Waterfront Park! 17 Food Trucks will begin serving at 11:00am (and continue to 8:00pm) with something for everyone—including vegetarian options for music lovers!

Sunday - The 23rd Annual Seaport Craft Show is happening at Huddy Park in the Highlands from 10am to 5pm. There will be a delightful collection of various handmade crafts from more than 60 crafters and artisans with live music by Dave McCarthy from 12PM- 4PM.

🥳 FOR FUN

All Weekend - in Bradley Park, the Asbury Park Carnival kicked off on Wednesday and will continue on until Monday evening. The carnival runs from 5 to 10pm Thursday and Friday, and 2 to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. On Memorial Day, the carnival also runs 2 to 11 p.m. Admission to enter the grounds is $2 (free for 5 and younger).

Friday - Belmar is kicking off their Friday Night Concert Series at Pyanoe Plaza starting a 6pm. The concerts will happen every Friday starting this weekend until the end of September.

Saturday - The Berkeley Hotel in Asbury is hosting their Beardfest Pre-Party from 7pm-11:30pm. Come kick off the summer and dance with some amazing artists to get in the groove for Beardfest which is a music festival happening in Hammonton.

Saturday - Andrew Dice Clay is performing at the Basie starting at 8pm. Dice is the old bad boy of comedy and if you’re easily offended this show is probably not for you. “hickory dickory dock …. some chick”. If you know, you know.

Saturday - from 4 to 10pm, the Red Bank Elks is hosting their Kick Off to Summer Fun Party. There is something for everyone — fairy hair, bon fire, vendors, food trucks, pig roast, polynessian hula dancers, fire and lights show, magician (kid/adult friendly), and Bounce houses.

Saturday - Spring Lake is hosting their Annual 5k Race. Unfortunately (maybe fortunately) the race sold out in 6 hours this year but there is still a Town Wide Side Walk Sale happening downtown from 10am to 5pm accompanied by a Beer Garden with Live Music.

Saturday - The 6th Annual Port Monmouth Car Show from 10am to 3pm. Proceeds go on to benefit the fight against Pancreatic Cancer. They will have complimentary bagels and coffee for participants in the morning. Food and drinks for purchase. Music. Trophies. Indoor gift auction with great prizes.

Sunday- Last Wave Brewing in Point Pleasant is hosting Yoga and Beer. The day starts at 10am with a yoga class and then you get to hang out at the brewery and have a beer or two. It’s called ~ balance ~ 🧘. This goes on to benefit the ASPCA.

👀 NEW EXPERIENCES

Thursday - Break out your old skates and listening to live music at Roller Skate Night happening at BellWorks from 6-9pm. You’ll get the chance to skate around the Main Atrium at Bell Works while enjoying tunes by DJ Atom Worth!

Friday - A new Brewery is opening up in Red Bank called Five Dimes Brewery. This Friday is their grand opening — they’ll have cold beer and live music all evening and weekend. Five Dimes is BYO-Food and Dog Friendly.

Friday to Monday - The Touch Mother Earth Best Fest is happening all weekend in Farmingdale at the Girl Scout’s Camp Sacajawea. For those of you looking to truly experience something new, this would be the place to go. Think one part hippy commune, and the other part, family fun farmers market.

Friday - in Belmar, Brandl is hosting a Comedy Night starting at 9pm. The event includes a 3 course pre-fixed menu which includes an appetizer, entree, and desert. Bonus points because Brandl is BYOB.

Friday - Ocean Place Resort is hosting a California Roadtrip Wine Tasting event from 5-7pm. This event is perfect for wine enthusiasts and anyone looking for a relaxing day out. Don't miss this opportunity to taste some of the finest wines California has to offer!

Sunday - at HobbyTown in Toms River they’re hosting a Puzzle Speed Building Contest starting at 12pm. You and your partner with compete to complete your chosen 500 piece puzzle as fast as you can!
